My Nephew with His Flag Poi
Wednesday 7 July 2010 | 1:16 pm | Meghan
I made my nephew, David, a pair of special order silk charmeuse flag poi. He is very talented with them – it’s fun to watch – hope you enjoy
I’ve re-engineered them since the first video, because of the weight of the fabric they were dragging a bit with only the chain as a weight (unlike the 5mm china silk which worked fine with only chain weighting). So these have compact weight added to the tip of the chain (similar to how voi is constructed).

I love this. It reminded me of nunchucks. While I was watching this I was thinking “That boy is doing warfare and these are like his nunchucks.” Awesome stuff.

David is awesome doing this flag poi. I would like to purchase the flag poi – what are the dimensions of the one’s David is using. He demonstrates very well. Thanks for sharing!
