How-To Order
Tuesday 18 January 2011 | 4:08 am | Meghan
Since what Dyed4you does is a bit unusual, it can be a little overwhelming for a first-time buyer – our apologies! Hopefully this how-to can help clarify, but if you still have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
How-To Place your order
Though we no longer offer online ordering, we’ve tried to make our ordering process as simple as possible.
There is a link to the order form on every page of the site, just click the orange “order” button in the upper right.
Deciding how you want to Order
The vast majority of our sales are people ordering blank scarves and having us “do whatever God says” (for more info see Spirit-led Dyeing?). As a result, most of the site is built around these types of orders. For such an order, you simply pick your size/fabric from the Custom-Dyed page that shows the relative sizes and has pictures of each to help you get a sense of the scale.
If you are not comfortable ordering a blank scarf, we also have a selection of Popular Styles that offer a variety of colors for you to choose from.
Puzzle Pieces
When we’re creating the silks it’s like putting puzzle pieces together:
what are the different colors and their meanings- which scripture
- what’s the name
- what oil is it anointed with
- etc.
Sometimes God will give a piece of the puzzle to the person ordering. For example, they may have a specific scripture or know that it’s supposed to be blue. That is TOTALLY fine and I encourage you to be sure to give those details when you are ordering.
What we ask that you NOT do is try to create a word for yourself by choosing your own colors and meanings and then asking us to create it. We don’t just “execute” dyeing a scarf – we have to catch the vision and bear witness to what is being birthed. If we don’t, you are welcome to pick a popular style scarf or we can refund your money.
Other Options for Custom-Dyed
Another option when ordering is to use more vague terms to guide, but still allow for freedom in creation. Some examples that have been used before are:
- Bright / vibrant colors
- Jewel tones
- Muted tones
- Neutrals
- Pastels
- Light
- Dark / Deep
This is totally fine as well. And again, if you’re not sure ask.
How Much Information to Give
Truly, you don’t have to give any! But if you feel “led” to share – you may be giving a piece of the puzzle, which is fine – just don’t feel like you HAVE to.
Hopefully this information clarifies any confusion, but if not or if you have more questions, just drop us an email. God bless you as you worship the One who is worthy!

Once you get the hang of ordering, it’s addictive! There are so many scarves I want to order as gifts for people that I will be ordering one a month until Jesus comes back!

My wife has dearly fallen in love with your work, she loves the scarf’s and especially loves reading what the Lord prophetically gives you for each item. I would love to surprise her with one of this made just for her. She said you make a large one that could be worn or tied on like a skirt..she said there was one that is more of a triangle shape and that she could dance with it around her waist or hold on to it with both hands while dancing. My wife’s name is Tina she is madly in love with Jesus and is involve in dance ministry at our church. She flows in the gifts of the Spirit– it’s exciting being married to this great woman of God. I believe this would be a really awesome gift for her. Tell me what I must do to get one…Thank you

@Paul – Awww I look forward to making one for her
The triangle one is too small to be worn as a skirt but can be used on the hips over a skirt… http://www.dyed4you.com/special_triangleFringe.html
The semicircle can be wrapped around to make a skirt http://www.dyed4you.com/special_semicircle.html
With either one, you can simply order online and I’ll know it’s to be prophetically created
Let me know if you have other questions! Bless you
