How-to Choose between LWH & XLW

LWH-XLWI know I have yet to officially announce the LW/LWH quills, but you’ve seen them a couple times before (in a demo comparing the LW and MW quill size and as a centerpiece in a worship presentation). Despite not being officially announced yet, they are available on our quill page so I thought a comparison between the large and XL size wings would be helpful.

This video compares the large wing in the heavy (8mm) weight to the XL in the regular 5mm weight silk.  Personally I find the large size a bit easier to handle (could be my height – 5’4″), but I believe it flies a little easier and because the quill is a bit shorter, it requires a bit less of an open space to use it while still giving a beautiful full feel.  See what you think!

If you want to see the difference between the medium and large quill wings, you can visit this page.

  1. Nice demo! I loved watching you dog lay there quietly while you were demoing the flags 🙂

  2. I didn’t even notice the dog there! I thought he was furniture 🙂
Great flags! I like the sound of the 8mm.

  3. Ooooh, they are both so awesome! I think I prefer the heavier weight, since i seem to be a bit hard on my swing flags haha! And I LOVE the pupper in the back, he’s just hanging out <3

  4. Love!!!!!

  5. […] got to see this quill wing briefly in the LWH / XLW comparison we posted a couple weeks ago, but here you get to see it in action.  We actually got to hear from […]

  6. I love both they are so beautiful! They really look like butterfly wings! <3 I prefer the heavier weight as well both for the sound and the durability. Your dog is so amazing…mind would be going nuts trying to attack them! 🙂
