In His Presence

The name of the scarf is In His Presence – inherent in it’s meaning is a sense of resting in Him, being wrapped in His glorious splendor, being hidden in Him, and just waiting on Him.

The scarf was originally painted purple in the center and red on each end. The purple representing His royalty and the red representing new wine. Once the first dyeing process was complete the purple had become a maroon – representing spilled Blood. His passion and the new covenant rolled into one.

Next, He had me steam it with black – black representing His Presence and the depth thereof. Finally, He had me drip it with gold representing His beauty and His glory.

When it was done and He named it, and He told me it was for a friend of mine. Much more ornate and rich looking that something she’d pick for herself, I sensed Him wanting to cover her in such things – a royalness and depth – reminding her that she is the daughter of the King!

He had me anoint it with the Oil of Exodus, which was the oil used in the Holy of Holies. He was inviting her into His deepest part – wanting to cover her and keep her there. As I anointed it, He had me simply caress and hold it, and as I did so I just kept repeating this word in the Spirit. And so I asked Him, “What does it mean, Lord?” And He said, “My beloved child”.

The day after I gave my friend the scarf I received this note from her:

How do I begin to thank you? I love my scarf!!! It is absolutely beautiful in appearance. It is absolutely beautiful in the significance of the things God showed and spoke to you. The last paragraph that you wrote about Him inviting me into “His deepest part – wanting to cover me and keep me there” is the deepest desire of my heart. Thank you for your artistry, birthed out of love, that is such a tangible presence and message of His love for me.

  1. I enjoy reading the dyeing process that God takes you through and the final outcome is just so gorgeous!

  2. What an interesting way to dye this one and it’s gorgeous! I like how God changes things up for the process of dyeing. It really does look “expensive” and rich and I bet she felt like royalty in it 🙂 Beautiful testimony!
