Dowel vs Quill Wing Comparision

This is a portion of an older video that had some dated info in it (Flag Comparison page is the replacement for it), but this portion comparing dowel and quill wings is very helpful.

Please note the MW quill is about the same size as the altered wing I mention and the XLW quill is the same size as the “full size” wing.

As an FYI, dowel wings are semicircles with either a wing seam or altered wing seam added.

  2. @Joshua – LOL yes I confess I found the comparison a tad startling 🙂

  3. Thank you so much for giving us as much information on the silks that you do. It helps to know some of the practical applications and how they work.
Beyond that It is wonderful how the Lord uses your talents, both in design, and in worship. I have been so blessed by this site.

  4. Thank you for the information. It is good to know the difference (pro’s & con’s) if you will between the quills and the dowell wings. I like them both. The quills have such elegant beautiful movements. I’m used to dowell flags but definitely look forward to getting either the dowell wings or the quill wings.

  5. I love the Quill wings……but love the silks on all of them! So beautiful and so anointed!

  9. Hi, what is Quill?

    1. Lillian – it’s a type of flag with a flexible rod 🙂

  10. I just can’t tell you how much I <3 love the flags, the Spirit-led dyeing aspect, etc.
Although I have had an admiration for those who like to flag, it was when I tried out my friend's Dyed4you flags that I realized my calling for worship with these. They are BEAUTIFUL & glorious!
Praise Adonai! Thank you Meghan & all who help!!!
