Anointed Artisans

I know this one is long, but there’s a LOT of good stuff in here – silk stories, words shared by one of you in the Dyed4you Community as well as some fun Dyed4you history. So I hope you’ll be blessed by it!

First up is a topic I’ve shared on a number of times on the our blog and it’s one I feel passionate about. God has specifically anointed certain people to do certain things. I call them anointed artisans (think of artisan as being an expert not simply an artist because you could be an “artisan” of computer code if that’s what Papa has gifted you to do). We see this concept clearly illustrated in Exodus 31:1-6 (AMP)

Now the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have called by name Bezalel, son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom and skill, in understanding and intelligence, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship, to make artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in bronze, and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, to work in all kinds of craftsmanship. And behold, I Myself have appointed with him Oholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; to all who are wise-hearted I have given the skill and ability to make everything that I have commanded you:

You may think I have bias because of what I do, but I follow this principle in all areas of my life. For example, I know how to blend anointing oils, but I am not called to create them therefore I do not. I don’t want to create a counterfeit (even though I’m sure I speak Christianese well enough I could even make it sound very spiritual). Instead I support an artisan that God HAS called to create them (Carol of the Scent of Heaven). We have been greatly blessed by the relationship with her and her ministry and we love sowing into it by supporting her through sales. As Katt says in the video below, our gifts should complement each other, our strengths playing together to make us even stronger as one united front.

Below I share an awesome pair of testimonies: Katt’s testimony of the flags I made her and mine of the ones she made me (Katt is the heart behind Victory Hill Flags and Banners). This is how it should be: the body of Christ blessing one another rather than competing with one another. I LOVE that Katt and I share the same heart on this and I know we’re not alone (because I’ve gotten to connect with other ministries who operate this way as well). Before I share these testimonies though, I wanted to share more on this topic, but rather than me telling you my thoughts on this, I want to share what one of you in the Dyed4you Community shared with me about it. Then I’ll share the pair of testimonies after.

I think the topic of where and from whom we get our worship instruments is important and seldom discussed, possibly overlooked or just not given any thought. I for one didn’t really think about it in the beginning. I was so anxious to get some flags because the desire was burning on the inside of me, that I just looked online and the first ones that I saw that I thought were pretty, I bought them. It was not until I started studying the why’s and wherefores of flag ministry that I understood exactly how important it was for me personally to not just buy any flags from just anybody.

Additionally as I learned to use my flags for praise, worship, intercession and warfare He began to teach me that colors made a difference…They had different meanings and the flags themselves needed to be different. As time went on and I listened to what He was teaching me, I understood that the annointing that rested on me required annointed flags, meaning that I needed to obtain flags from those that He had called, annointed and appointed to make flags as a ministry, not just somebody that could sew fabric into flags. I started praying about it and looking for ministries not flag makers. (If that makes any sense!)

It took a while to find a few back then. I think there are more now, but there are still differences. There are those that make lovely flags with beautiful names… but… seldom do those flags come with more than a brief description of what the colors mean and sometimes a corresponding scripture to go with the name. That is not to say that they are not annointed, but I want more. I want to know that what I am going to worship Him with and enter into the Holy of Holy’s has been birthed from His heart. Hence the reason that I am particular about who creates them. I always see myself at His feet, flags in hand, sometimes dancing, oftentimes on my knees with flags in my hand raised to Him in adoration.

With that said, I believe it is important to know who makes your worship flags. Years ago, my first set of flags came from an online source. I didn’t know much about flags except that I had attended a women’s conference and there was a group of women that were part of the conference and they had flags and that kind of worship birthed like a fire on the inside of me. I looked online and found a source for flags and ordered them. They sent them to me and a note that explained the purple and silver colors. I worshiped with them for several years, but eventually I wanted something else. I could have made flags like those I bought. I sew, I am creative but I knew that creating worship flags wasn’t my ministry. I was called to worship with them, not make them.

So, long story short, as I sought Him about new flags He led me to ministries like Dyed4you that pray, seek His face and create not only beautiful worship flags but also send with them the meaning and the Words that goes with them. It makes a difference….He was specific about the tabernacle, about the priestly garments, about the workmanship and the workers that made the tabernacle. He was specific about those that built the wall, about the ark and so many other things. He was specific about worship. I believe if we are to worship Him in Spirit and in truth and in love, then I believe that we should take before Him that which has been born of His Heart and His Spirit and these flags are exactly that.

I just love that there are those whose ministry it is to make them and those of us that are called to only worship with them.

Amen! I’m so grateful she shared that – it is such confirmation for the things God has shown us as well. And again, the woman who shared what is written above is just one of you. She’s not on staff and doesn’t benefit from saying those things, she’s just sharing her heart and what Papa has shown her.

I believe as we grown in our walk, our sensitivity to the things of the Spirit increases (just as she shared here). So let Him speak to your heart on this matter. What has He called YOU to? Are you doing it? What has He called those around you to? Are you supporting and encouraging them in their giftings and calls? This is what the Body does 🙂

Testimonies

With all that said, whenever I do an anointed artisans post I like to share about another ministry just to make it clear this isn’t about just Dyed4you, this is about all those who walk in this calling. In the past I’ve shared about Prophetic Worship BannersUnhindered and UnashamedStandard of the LordDyeing at the AltarAndrea York of Catch the Fire Worship Flags, and Called to Flag – today I’m sharing about Victory Hill Flags and Banners.

Dyed4you Ministries History

Periodically, Father will highlight a flag ministry to me and He’ll have me order flags and then gift some in return. He taught me about this back in 2006 just after Dyed4you was birthed. He had me go to Cincinnati, Ohio and Kathy from Wings of Worship (who had been in ministry painting silk flags for years) gifted me the silk below (and you can see her wearing the one from me to the right) as well as gifting the pair of flags to several of us from the St. Louis area.

She talked with us about commingling anointings. It’s like a double impartation, where as you come intro agreement and unity the Spirit moves and something supernatural happens. I felt the power of it then and I think the testimonies I’m sharing today show the power of it now 🙂

Connecting with Victory Hill Flags & Banners

God began highlighting Victory Hill to me several weeks back. I knew it meant I was to order and was just waiting on the green light. When I got it I was able to connect with Katt and she was very patient with me because I was so excited I was bumbling the whole thing LOL 🙂

After we hung up I began praying over what He would have me make for her and immediately heard the word “create”. Ultimately this resulted in the Silk: Created for His Glory (the full word and demo videos are on my personal blog).

After I had completed this, Katt posted a video of her silk to me. I happened to be in Home Depot buying supplies when I watched it and I almost fell out in the Spirit LOL! Not only had she too gotten a verse out of Genesis 1, but the word create was in the scripture she got over and over. I just laughed in joy at how beautiful God is and how amazing it is when we flow in His Spirit, aligned with Him and therefore each other as well.

Here’s the video Katt shared about her silk for me: Sea of Inheritance.

Spiritually “Related”

After Katt posted this video, I shared it on the Dyed4you Ministries Facebook page. I had a feeling she didn’t know who I was and planned to tell her afterward when I sent her my gift to her, but she saw the forwarded post and made the connection. 🙂

She shares the specifics in her video testimony below, but part of what was so amazing is that we discovered that Victory Hill is essentially a spiritual grandchild of Dyed4you. So here she is making me a silk called Sea of Inheritance, not even realizing as she’s making it that she is PART of that “be fruitful and multiply” that was in the verse God gave her for me! God has such an awesome sense of humor 🙂

I had no way of knowing when He highlighted this ministry to me that they were spiritually related to me, but GOD knew and He knew how blessed both of us would be by the connection, and the reminder we are all one body! So He planned this beautiful touch point to bless and encourage both of us.

Here I am enjoying my Sea of Inheritance silk after it arrived 🙂

Katt shares more in the video below, including how God birthed a new song through her just before she got the silk from me and in it she just kept singing “breath on me” and part of the Silk: Created for His Glory word is about Him breathing life in the creation process. So many awesome little details!

She also talks about how much of a blessing our color chart has been. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a record of all the meanings Father has given us over the years for the different colors we use in the silks. The list has grown a LOT over the 10+ years Dyed4you has existed. I first created it just so I personally would have a record of them, but it is actually the most visited page of our site. 🙂

Anyhow, below Katt shares her testimony, her thoughts on us being one body, and more about the Sea of Inheritance. I think you’ll be blessed by it!

If you’ve made it through to the end of this monster post hopefully you’ve been blessed! I know we were and I hope you’re encouraged by it too 🙂
