The Scent of Heaven is a sister ministry of Dyed4you. Carol Hodge (the woman behind the ministry) is my spiritual mother and an elder at my church. After losing her father when she was 5 years old, she decided to view God as her Daddy – as a result she has had a rich, deep relationship with Him for decades. All of this is poured into the amazing oils she creates.
God connected me personally to the ministry from the beginning. The Scent of Heaven (aka SoH) was birthed in spring of 2007 – about 6 months after Dyed4you – and I have sown my time, talent and resources into this fertile soil. I help with a lot of the business side of things.
In 2008, Carol’s mother became very ill and Carol put everything aside to nurse her. God’s protection in this season was clear as there were moments where Carol would sleep on the hospital floor while her mother was there and in those moments no SoH orders would be placed at all. And then in moments where mom was home again and Carol had some time suddenly she would start receiving orders. 🙂 It was clear God was orchestrating it all.
This summer Carol’s mom went on to be with the Lord. Now that her time is freed up more, God has begun bringing in more orders. I share all this simply to give some background on the ministry and her heart so you can join with mine in this prayer for SoH:
Father God, I ask that You would bless the Scent of Heaven – prosper the work of Carol’s hands. I ask for wisdom for her as You download the scents You want created that declare the things on Your heart! God I ask that people would see these precious oils for what they are and have an understanding for how You move through them. Thank You for the amazing plans You have for this sister ministry 🙂
I ask for wisdom for myself to know how and when to connect our ministries – things that You want paired… give us eyes to see and ears to hear. Thank You, Lord!
God I thank You for the ideas You’ve given Carol for the Bee Ready series – that will allow people to pursue natural healing options using the essential oils You’ve created. God please give us wisdom as we prepare to release this new line… and for it all, to You be the glory!
Yes! I agree. Abba Father, thank You that nothing is too great or too small for You. Thank You that You have given Carol anointed gifts and a tender and honorable heart. May she have clarity of Your vision to proceed with Your blessed plans for a new line.
Father, I ask for all the recepients of D4Y scarves be nudged in Your time and way to consider ordering and buy Carol’s oils for anointing not only their scarves but anything else You are calling to be anointed.
I ask, Messiah Jesus, for those who do not have the money to pay for oil be blessed by those who do. And for those called with very little who give so much, be blessed in abundance for their obedience.
Thank You, El Roi, as You are the LORD who sees us and You know what we need. Thank You, Holy Spirit for leading and guiding us; for helping us. We all desperately need You. Healing, deliverance, salvation, miracles, intimacy, and just to be in Your presence. To worship, praise, and honor You alone.
Father, I ask for Your heavenly oil to fill Carol’s powder room, bedroom, kitchen, and prayer closet with Your scents and give her the anointed recipes. May her car fill up with Your Holy aroma and fragrance. Father, whisper Your favorite scents in her ear; send Your angelic messengers to lead her to deals and find favor.
Father, You made our sense of smell strongly linked to memory storage. I ask for healing smells to anoint people who have suffered and survived extensive traumas. Enough is enough of PTSD and torment by traumatic smell.
Father, please supply Carol with a storehouse full of anointed oils to be dispersed to missionaries, ministers, and regular believing people who will anoint the sick, raise the dead, and break every curse in the Name of Jesus. We praise You, Heavenly Father.
Please give her heaven downloaded recipes for oils for nursing homes, orphanages, churches, hospitals, prisons, schools, day cares,US military bases, veteran’s hospitals, agencies, work places, homeless shelters, courts, bus stations, train stations, metros, airlines and any other place of focus that needs anointing and targeted prayer for those passing through. In Your Holy Name, Jesus, I ask. Amen
