Ordination Update

Just a quick update! Thank you all for your prayers thus far. I contacted MorningStar (which is the organization I felt God prompted me to pursue ordination through), which is Rick Joyner’s organization. They were quick to get back with me on the process.

Step one is for Dyed4you Ministries to join MFM, MorningStar Fellowship of Ministries. After about a year of interaction I can apply for ordination.

The application for MFM is BIG. I spent over 3 hours tonight working on my portion and it’s not done (though the bulk of it is). I also will need to get 3-4 references and the reference info requested is significant as well. Prayer over all of it – for grace and favor – appreciated!

I love the fact that this is very serious and means something to them. Rather than something you just pay some money for and also a logo on your website. And from the bits that I’ve seen, I can see why God picked them. I was surprised at first because I have MUCH more connection to Glory of Zion, but God has His reasons I trust. 🙂

FYI there are fees for MFM membership as well as ordination prayer for provision always appreciated! Thank you all for all you do!!!

  1. Praying for your minstry and for God to provide. God grant you wisdom and dicernment conerning every step of this process. Bless you for your heart and wanting to minster to others.

  2. Awesome God… Love to watch you work. I ask for favor for Meghan and D4Y. Favor in her personal life, bussiness life and spiritual life. You are her driving force and I pray that her eyes follow you where ever you lead her. Amen.

  3. Awesome stuff! Amen, Amen, Amen! I can totally see why MFM considering what I know about you. They have worked hard to make all of their programs comprehensive so they have solid credentials. I’ve heard Rick talk indepth on this. (you know I love GOZ too!) So excited to see what’s in store!

  4. I wanted to look up in scripture the word “ordination” and the qualifications and I found this in the Message Bible 1 Tim 3:1-13 – I also went to the NIV and this one was just more in your face – down to earth.
As I read the “preconditions” – I was amazed at the qualifications I have found in you Meghan – just from corresponding via the web and never even meeting you. Although I know nothing about the interaction of your family relationships – I am SURE those who know you personally can attest to what is written scriptually.

I wish I could highlight here the words – that are indicative (I think that’s right) of your character and how you appear to meet the criteria – in my understanding of this scripture.

Meghan – I truly believe that the hand and favor of God is heavy upon you and I will stand and petition that all your needs will be met to step forth into this new realm of your walk with Christ. Humbled so humbled to even be asked to hold up your arms as you pursue this venture in Christ. Please keep us posted and below is what I found to be you!!!

1-7 If anyone wants to provide leadership in the church, good! But there are preconditions: A leader must be well-thought-of, committed to his wife, cool and collected, accessible, and hospitable. He must know what he’s talking about, not be overfond of wine, not pushy but gentle, not thin-skinned, not money-hungry. He must handle his own affairs well, attentive to his own children and having their respect. For if someone is unable to handle his own affairs, how can he take care of God’s church? He must not be a new believer, lest the position go to his head and the Devil trip him up. Outsiders must think well of him, or else the Devil will figure out a way to lure him into his trap.

8-13The same goes for those who want to be servants in the church: serious, not deceitful, not too free with the bottle, not in it for what they can get out of it. They must be reverent before the mystery of the faith, not using their position to try to run things. Let them prove themselves first. If they show they can do it, take them on. No exceptions are to be made for women—same qualifications: serious, dependable, not sharp-tongued, not overfond of wine. Servants in the church are to be committed to their spouses, attentive to their own children, and diligent in looking after their own affairs. Those who do this servant work will come to be highly respected, a real credit to this Jesus-faith.
