I’m dashing this post off before I head down to do a large batch of dyeing, so first off – prayer over that appreciated!  I’m not feeling much like doing it, but I know when I get in there it will flow – lot’s of fire and passion in the silks tonight, good stuff.

Photoshop Gift

First thing I wanted to share is that some of you saw my post on Facebook about Allen giving me an early birthday present of the newest version of Adobe Photoshop (which is what I use to create the art).  This software costs $999, which has simply made it not possible for me to have it and therefore I am using a version that is a decade old (and a decade in technology years is beyond antique!).

Allen spent months researching and asking questions and finally found someone who claimed to work for a retail store that sells Photoshop and said Adobe had done training with the employees and given some free copies of the software – this does happen and was very plausible. The young man said he had no use for it – since Photoshop has a very high learning curve, this too was very plausible.

Allen met with the young man and the package was sealed and everything looked legit.  He even let Allen break the seal and check the contents and again, it looked on the up and up.  So Allen paid the man the $300 he was asking.  Last night I discovered it is NOT a legit copy and cannot be activated.

Mind you, we prayed through the whole thing.  I sensed something wasn’t going to look like what I expected, but got no check about moving forward.  In essence, God just had us buy some prayer for the young man because trust me when I say he is getting a lot of it 🙂

So… prayer for my husband, who feels horrible about the whole thing from many aspects (including the simple fact that $300 is a LOT of money to us, especially this week as God has slowed sales so I can catch up).  Prayer for me because one way I keep myself from materialistic lust is I don’t look until I have money to buy.  I have now looked and KNOW what I’m missing, which frankly is difficult.  And of course, prayer for this young man that the Lord would relentlessly pursue him into the Kingdom and that the enemy would NOT reign in his life, and of course mercy for touching the Lord’s anointed.

Upcoming Posts

The other thing I wanted to bring up was one of the intended purposes of this blog, which is that you all post if the Lord gives you something for the team to join in on (here’s a how-to on posting – please read all of it before posting).  I have a couple of folks I’m talking with and encouraging to post, so I thought I’d give a quick heads-up that they’re coming and also specifically introduce one that will actually ask for a bit of a time investment for those of you willing to participate.

Spirit of Jealousy

Through some discussion with Roslyn, it’s become clear that there’s an issue with a spirit of jealousy coming against me.  This is a nasty spirit (of course all the bad guys are), but she’s familiar with a teaching on how to address it that is thorough and effective.

I will be honest and say that this exercise, should you decide to participate and help me in this area, will take you about an hour from end-to-end (first reading the article, then pausing to reflect, and finally writing something for me).  I’ve never specifically asked for a such a chunk of your time and want you to know I don’t do so lightly. Nor do I plan to make a habit of it.  I value all the time you spend in prayer over me and over the ministry – I want to thank you in advance for even considering participating in the team activity.

DrMel will be visiting next weekend (3/25-3/29), and my hope is that she will be able to help me process through everything everyone has written.  I know that may not be possible with time constraints on your end, and if it can’t be done with DrMel, I do have friends outside the team who could do it with me, but I’d prefer to keep it a team activity.

The Scent of Heaven Redesign

Last topic, I’m currently working on a redesign for the Scent of Heaven.  As all facets of Dyed4you increase, I am realizing I need to turn more of the business of The Scent of Heaven back over to Carol.  Please pray for wisdom as I find ways to implement a solution that is one that can be maintained by Carol rather than me, and wisdom for me in creating instructions for her to use what I put in place, and just general prayer that the whole redesign goes smoothly.

I have been so enjoying the opportunities to bless each of you as the Lord leads with my audio prayers and blessings.  Thank you all for being so encouraging in your responses to them – I look forward to my time each day to hold up all of YOU – what a blessing you all are!  Each a gift to me from the Lord… and He knows how to give good gifts 😉
