I started this update Monday and am just now finishing it – quite the whirlwind week! Our visit to Passion for Truth (church) this past weekend was good – I thoroughly enjoyed the freedom and space to enjoy an hour of worship with flags (and my arms felt like they’d fall off at the end!). God said this is our new church home. Allen met with our pastor yesterday to let him know and I spent 10+ hours on the phone getting to people who needed to hear it from me (us) personally.
My pastor couldn’t have been more gracious and when I spoke with his wife on the phone she said God had told her He was going to move us and not because anything was wrong, but simply repositioning us. I love confirmation! I also love answered prayers – so your prayers for their hearts were clearly answered. It’s hard – but it’ll be ok. As my pastor’s wife said, “You’ve been pillars of the church for years, so it hurts, but you have to be where God wants you.”
I’ve been in a grieving process since Monday – I have LOVED this church and so it’s hard to leave even though God prepared me for it. I appreciate continued prayers for people to correctly communicate why we’re going and that no rumors would get started!
My brother-in-law picked up my computer today. As you know I’ve had ongoing computer issues, and the problem is we can’t duplicate the problem, we have to wait for it to happen – so it’s like finding a needle in a haystack. Please pray for supernatural wisdom to find and fix the issue and preferably in a short time frame!
Finally, sales have been down this whole month. It would be slow and then a few good days and then slow and then good days… but with a full month complete, we’re down almost back to 4th quarter sales from last year (40-45% down from last quarter). On the one hand I REALLY appreciated the break, it’s given me time to catch up AND we’ve had what we’ve needed financially when we need it but it’s VERY tight, but I would like to see it pick up again. So prayers appreciated! If we also could pray for sales for D4Y resellers (e.g. North Star Books) I would appreciate that as well.
Some of you may have seen that an F4 tornado hit St. Louis last friday. It was south of us, so we were fine, but Carol (the Scent of Heaven) was in the thick of it, but she was protected. She doesn’t have internet back yet, but otherwise they are largely unscathed which is a MIRACLE. If you google “St Louis Lambert Airport tornado” you’ll see pics/video – Carol lives right near the airport.
Sending love and blessings to all of you! Thank you as always 🙂
God is so good! There is so much to praise Him for and about. Thank You, Jesus for the new church home. I am greatly encouraged by Meghan and Allen’s pastors’ responses–such love and honesty. Yay, Father, as Meghan worships in spirit and in truth. I trust You, LORD to move in their finances and sales. I thank You, Abba that the work of their hands prospers and honors you, Beloved King of kings. Come Holy Spirit and embrace them in Your presence. Thank You, Father for Your protection and comfort for those affected by the tornado. Thank You, LORD for surrounding Carol and her family. Selah
That is so awesome! I think I just recently watched one of their (Passion for Truth) video’s on holidays! I know how difficult it is leaving a group of people you love even when you know it’s time. So glad you’ve not had to wait long to find the new! I agree with you that no rumors or falsehoods are associated with your move. I ask that no misunderstandings can land on any of the friends and church family involved. I pray peace on Meghan and Allen as they transition into this new alignment.
There is so much going on in the atmosphere right now for all. Thankful that you and Carol were passed over in the storm. Prayers go out to Christine P and her family. Lord, I ask for your protection for all of us in these disturbances and I ask for more awareness for your leading in all things.
I just decree more sales and increase for Dyed4you and Dyed4you Art! I ask for more traffic in the associated stores where scarves and art are sold. Amen
