Let me start by apologizing because this may be a longer update than I’ve been trying to make them!
Well, after having such a stellar quarter last quarter, it was a bit disappointing to finish this quarter with sales down about 30% (Dyed4you Art was down about 70%). However, it was a few dollars over the bare minimum I need to bring in gross to cover expenses – so I’m very grateful for that despite losing the extra margin.
I’m not sure what caused sales to be down so dramatically, probably in part due to my posting less blogs and being busy elsewhere, but at the end of the day I don’t want to SELL scarves, I want people to buy them because God said to. So while I realize logistically if I want to “prompt sales” there’s things I can do, I’m not sure I want to increase sales that way for D4Y.
The lower sales have afforded me a break as I make the transition and go through the strain of the drastic schedule switch. So I appreciate it for that. I trust the Lord has our needs covered as He always has… but still appreciate prayer for provision not just for D4Y, but also North Star Books – who I know also have been experiencing uncharacteristic sales drops.
Meghan Update
Doing a little better on sleep this week. Had some time with my pastor a couple times this week where he was able to share what he’d sensed the Lord saying, which in short was “things that have been ok in previous seasons no longer are ok” – my sleep schedule being a primary one. He felt as though the Lord has me in a season of transition, which aligns with what I’d been getting. It’s not going to be short, but I need to embrace the process. He sensed that I was in a cocoon… later he described it as being in the Lord’s hand, and He’s squeezing… so no wonder it’s uncomfortable!
I covet your continued prayers for grace and wisdom as I attempt to embrace this process which I assure you is bringing up all sort of ugliness (dross coming to the surface!). There have been some things that have come to mind that have shocked even me – things I’ve been like “I thought we tackled that ages ago!” Which can be frustrating and disheartening. It’s left me fighting depression, but I understand that MANY in the body have been fighting depression recently, so I’d appreciate prayer against depression for me AND the body at large!

Welcome Elaine!
Tami, praise God that He protected you and you feel great this morning!
I agree with the word Meghan shared “nothing stolen!” I also want to thank God that He restores in abundance what has been taken in the past seasons.
For me, the Lord has been speaking transition for this month and the next….I don’t know the specifics–just that a transition is going on. (Have it written on my calendar even.)
In the midst of this, He gave me a word for last week that was, “Reign.” I prayed that He would reign over every part of me, my family and everything I am connected with. This week (It has been from Wednesday to Wednesday that I have been listening for.) He said “Wait” A wait of hope, anticipation and expectation—He is coming in a new way..so be ready but don’t move yet.
Some things have been very uncomfortable for me and just like I heard Chuck Pierce share from July 1st….I have been tempted to “figure it out” for myself instead of waiting on God’s timing and His answers…..I’ve struggled but I am waiting–I don’t want to move without Him because that will make me miserable! Once I decided to wait, He has shown me several things…but still waiting on His strategy or just His deliverance. (Most of this has to do with work and the struggles I have there but then there is also a few issues at home.)
What I have dealt with recently is being extremely tired…more so than usual. It even seemed to hit our whole dance team at one time Wednesday night in the middle of worship…..last night it was out and out depression. I went to sleep “down” and then didn’t even hear my alarm clock or snooze alarm (still not sure how that happend because it was set correctly and still had the alarm on when I woke up an hour and a half later than it was set. ) which caused me to miss my quiet time in the sanctuary at church. (I have better prayer times when I get to go pray first thing in the morning at church than if I pray at home….) I still woke up with enough time to pray and read at home, praise God, but it isn’t quite the same.
All that said, Lord, I thank you that you are our joy and strength, our provider and our protector. Thank you for your timing and for your plans that are always good! Lead people to find their oasis they need at North Star Books and may more people be led of you to find Dyed4you for their touchpoints to encounter you!
Thank you that you provide when we don’t see how you are going to do it and that you are not limited by our expectations. Thank you that you are limitless and all-powerful. May you be magnified and glorified!!! Lord, help us wherever we may have unbelief..we repent for any categories where we may have limited you and for wherever our trust may be weak. Thank you for increasing our faith in You as we run to you and stay under the shelter of your wings. Lord, align us with you and adjust us where needed! We love you, praise you and give you all the glory! In Jesus name, Amen

You are my priest and holiness is what I require of My people. My delight is great over you. My heart swells with pride at all you are entrusted to do and carry out in my Name and for My kingdom. Keep looking in front and not behind. Wait for My word to push through. The enemy’s tactics are weakening and their confusion is mounting. I think it is pretty rad that Meghan would rather have scarves purchased not for the sake of a sale, but because the Father has instructed them to do so :). I pray that the Lord would continue to move upon the hearts of those He wants to connect with D4Y and may they be blessed by being obedient! Let no thing bring in doubt or hinder that connection in Jesus name!
Father I pray the same for North Star Books. Jesus we ask that every obstacle that dares place itself in the path of Your will for North Star, Donelda and her family be removed in Jesus name! May an atmosphere of peace and joy reside here that draws people in. May it be a place of ministry and reconciliation that blesses many!
I ask that You continue to cover Meghan with Your wings and bless her with the grace and wisdom she seeks during this time of transition. Protect her mind from those things that are not aligned with Your will and the words You have spoken. Give comfort to her as she continues to obediently walk out these new things You have called her to. Bring in armour bearers to lift her arms when she feels weak and to bless her with support and wisdom. I am a registered nurse that is now working in the world of IT (computers). My passion as a nurse is Labor & Delivery. I truly enjoy helping mamas bring their new little ones into this world! In October, I will have the pleasure of being present as my first grandchild enters this world!! I have 1 son, Steven, that is 19 almost 20. It has been prophesied that my granddaughter will be in a blessing to my life, and I am looking forward to that. Please pray for Steven & Brittany as they need to GROW up FAST!!
Some day, I will be in Israel living on a Kibbutz serving as the community midwife! I really can’t wait for that day! It’s all in Abba’s hands and His timing. 🙂
As you may or may not have figured out along the way (if you see me on FB), I am a Messianic Jew. I presently attend a non-denominational church but the Hebraic flavor is there and I, along with others, get the joy of blowing our Shofars often! I love celebrating the Feasts and understanding how Yahshua (Jesus) is the fullfillment of the promises these all bring!
