Just a quick update on all the money stuff. I sent an email to PayPal essentially telling them I’m unable to comply with their request to register as a not-for-profit and asking them to reconsider if there are other options to resolve since nothing illegal was done. I am hoping this will encourage them to give me a different way of resolving this issue.

Just to clarify, D4Y Ministries would qualify, but honestly at this point isn’t active enough to warrant having to create a separate business identity that would generate extra work and expense.  The 3 businesses of D4Y (D4Y, D4Yart, and D4Yphoto) have a ministry aspect to them, but the rules I’d be placing myself under if I pursued not-for-profit would add a huge amount of unnecessary complexity.

Things are going well with the new card processor, however using it requires doing a card in person or via phone. So this creates direct one-on-one contact for each transaction. So far people have been blessed by the contact (even when they’ve had to play phone tag to get me), and I can see the Lord’s hand in it.

What I need prayer on with these guys is that I misread fine print.  They have a trailing 7 day limit (I’d thought it was a daily limit) of how much you can charge without a card present (almost all D4Y and D4Yart sales will be via phone with no card present). If you go over the limit, they hold the funds for a month. This creates a problem for me since I often need the money from the sale to purchase materials to complete it and I have up to 4 weeks to do so. In theory, funds could be getting released when I am supposed to be shipping :/

I’ve applied for the limit to be more than doubled (it would basically make it high enough that if I had another week like I did after Kim Clement’s first D4Y mention that no funds would be held).  Please pray for favor! You all know I don’t just need these funds to fill the orders, this is what we live on!!!

Random Thought

Yesterday I had this thought that sent me into a dark spiral.  Basically God is setting it up to where people can’t just order, they’ll have to talk to someone to order. In the past I wondered what Allen would do if I was suddenly killed, how would he know how to stop orders, etc. (I’ve actually gone as far as started making a list so he’d know what to pass along to Amanda E so the ministry wouldn’t have to stop.) So yesterday, I had the thought “What if God is setting it up so when I die there’s not a bunch of orders piling up that won’t be filled?”

Needless to say, Allen wasn’t thrilled with this line of thought and I had myself sobbing for an hour or so. Not sure if all the extra “death” in the spiritual realm due to halloween is where that came from or if there’s validity to it, but prayer appreciated either way!

In Closing

On a lighter note, we’ve added a new member to the team, which puts us back at 12 – please welcome Allissa 🙂  You guys may remember her from a number of blog posts (here’s one and another). Very glad to have her on the team! I’m sure some of you Facebookers will likely connect with her there as well 🙂
