Let me start with some praise reports 🙂

  • My hubby’s (Allen’s) level of peace with where God has him right now has SIGNIFICANTLY increased!  I can only account that to prayer – so thank you for your willingness to cover him as it definitely impacts me.  God’s been giving him very specific insight on things he does that negatively impact me and he’s been specifically working on addressing those – all without me saying a word. Praise God!
  • My level of peace has also increased. This is SUCH a blessing!  He’s been allowing me to get more work done in less time. So awesome – especially since this has left time for things like more fellow-shipping with Him 😉

Finding a Place of Rest

God’s had me spending a good portion of the last few days having down-time. I have to tell you that it is VERY hard for me to do that when I have tasks looming overhead that need to be done!  LOL 🙂  But what I’m learning is that in the new life God’s walked me into is that there is ALWAYS something else that “has” to get done. So somehow I have to get past the sensation of “pressure” that something is waiting.  Continue reading →

Balance & Wisdom

I can’t believe it’s been over a week since I last posted.  LOL that leads into the first item perfectly 😉  Which is I’m still not finding that I’m able to have consistent balance right now. It feels like so many things are demanding my attention that when I finally do “make” myself break for quiet time I have difficulty getting my head to shut up until I finally just hit shut down mode and check out for a day or two. Heaviness

I was having a conversation last night with Amanda E and she mentioned this heaviness she’s been feeling ever since she was here to visit. It’s so different than how she normally feels that she notices the difference.  As she described how it felt it’s something I experience (and Allen) on an ongoing basis.  Suddenly the Holy Spirit opened my eyes – it’s a spirit of heaviness. The Scent of  Heaven is a sister ministry of Dyed4you.  Carol Hodge (the woman behind the ministry) is my spiritual mother and an elder at my church.  After losing her father when she was 5 years old, she decided to view God as her Daddy – as a result she has had a rich, deep relationship with Him for decades.  All of this is poured into the amazing oils she creates.
