First off big praise reports on the Ohio trip. My sleep schedule was fine while I was there, Amanda did an amazing job cleaning and so I was comfortable in her home both scent and allergy wise, and we had a God time. We already know from FB that some of the prayers seemed to go into action right after I left and I ask for continued prayers for her and her household as well as Donelda and hers. I know they say that imitation is the highest form of praise, but I have to be honest (and I believe I’ve shared this before), I STRUGGLE when people decide they’re going to go off and try to do what I do. I don’t know what exactly is attached to it, but it is awkward and sometimes hurts when they come to me all excited and wanting my prayers, blessing and support – in particular when *I* haven’t heard anything from the Father on it. The time with Allissa went well – definitely was feeling the prayers! Only had one moment where I got totally “overdone” (as I call it) and Allissa was very gracious with my little snappiness. Let me just tell you, for someone who spends a HUGE portion of their time alone, to have someone with you basically every waking moment, be constantly “doing” and to be burning the candle at both ends – it is completely a miracle I did as well as that. When I sent out the last update with team changes I had NO idea the Father had more on the horizon! However, two days ago Christina let me know she felt led to step down from the prayer team. I had a dream the other night that was about me and for me but there was a small section with Allen in it. I thought that was rather strange but it was emphasized to me after I woke up that what I said to Allen in the dream I was to actually tell him.
I believe that there are a number of us in the same season. It is a season I have called ‘Something New, Something Different’. Within this season there has been the idea that there is a ‘New Day Dawning’ and breakthrough and insight and newness.
For this post I am asking for prayers to usher in this New Day, this Something New, Something Different that I feel the Lord has for many of us.
What an exciting (and busy) time it’s been to be in the midst of my first set of fall feasts! I confess I am thoroughly enjoying it – today we got to have a BBQ at the campground where we’ll be celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) from 10/11-10/20. Not having camped in 23 years (and having been well over 100lbs lighter last time I did) I have been fighting concerns – seeing the grounds today definitely helped (whew!) and I got to test my wifi access so I know for certain I’ll have internet (hooray!).
