Care Info

We recommend hand washing gently in cool water and hanging dry. Shimmer especially does not like being washed (over time) so be as gentle as possible.

I have on occasion run scarves through the washer without a problem. The China Silk can go into a dryer, but not the Chiffon! The Chiffon should be hung to dry and when hung pulled slightly to keep it from shrinking. Please understand that you may affect your color over time if you wash by machine instead of washing by hand.

You can iron them if your iron is set to the correct setting for silk (but don’t iron our tags because they will melt!).

When storing your scarf, if you don’t want to hang it – we suggest rolling them instead of folding them the wrinkle patterns are easier to get out. Or if you have one of the 5mm dance veils, you can squish them into a ball and stick them in a drawer – they look lovely crinkled!

A word of caution about bendies: do not leave them in heat! The rods we use are beautifully sturdy but if left in heat (like in the car in summer), the rods begin to crack or splinter. So please take care of your beauties and store them in a temperate environment.
