Amanda E with Semicircle Voi

Here Amanda E is worshiping with a semicircle voi called Declaring the Word of the Lord (it’s the other half of the wing/voi pair that you saw in the previous post.

I will be posting some short clips of her using both together 🙂

As a note, by default veils are attached to the voi weight by a single slip knot. This makes for easy switch-out of veils (or removal of veil for practice).  To give greater assurance that a veil won’t come off during worship, do a stronger knot 🙂  Though I must say Amanda handled the moment VERY gracefully – she was actually surprised at me because I stopped filming briefly – LOL!

  1. Beautiful!!!! I loved watching her as always. Blessing to the both of you

  2. That is so beautiful. Couldn’t take my eyes away. I bet it is a lot harder than you make it look Amanda. 😉 Stunning.

  3. OK now, I love that it came off as that is how I will be using mine! Looks just as lovely! Good job Amanda.

  4. amanda your worship is so beautiful with your Jesus. Such an anointing to touch others lives. Let us come before Him with praise and worship. Let us dance and sing before Him giving praise and adoration.

  5. This is the first I’ve seen of this one. I like watching the silk dance and move around. I think what I learned by watching this compared to the August video is that simply moving with the voi in different directions is very cool and stunning! I am actually surprised I didn’t end up hitting and breaking anything because I was definitely reaching with the voi.

@Donelda: my arms were tired before I did this one (because we had just come back from doing the wing at the park) and they were VERY tired after this, lol. To whip the voi around like I like to do takes strength that I definitely lack. But I’m starting to get in “better shape” to dance & worship with the tools He’s calling me to do…like arm strength, lol 🙂

  6. Love this…very annointed!

I was wondering if you could send me the details on attaching it? And where U are getting materials (rods) to attach to?

  7. Patrice they just tie on..simple knot does great 🙂

  8. @ Amanda–I liked getting to watch you with the voi because I could tell the amount of physical effort you have to put into it! Caleb makes it look easy! I think I will have to work up to it!! Arm strength and my back/shoulders need to be stronger and more aligned!

  9. @Christine: i think for whipping the voi around as much as I like to it definitely requires more stengrh in my arms, shoulders, and back. And yeah Caleb does an AMAZING job with them!! But honestly I think as you use them on a continual basis in any capacity (simple movements to full out dancing) you’ll automatically start building up the strength and you’re heart to worship the Lord will flow so beatifully from it. The simple moves are actually the most beautiful 🙂 ……now go get a voi and work it girl, lol 😉

  10. I would love to see my Pastor with one of these. He gets crazy with the flags. So awesome Amanda. Like always… Love to watch ya.

  11. WOW! AMAZING!! So powerful!

  12. Absolutely beautiful. My husband has been looking for something like this to worship with. Who is singing the song you are worshipping too. The song and the dancing are amazing.

  13. @Sandy: The song is called “Holy” and is sung by Matt Gilman. You can get the mp3 for FREE from here:

    http://www.ihop.org/Articles/1000040562/International_House_of/Resources/Forerunner_Music.aspx

Or if you don’t want to create a free account on IHOP’s website, you can purchase the mp3 from amazon.com or itunes. It’ll be under the album “HOLY” by Matt Gilman and Cory Asbury. The song was actually birthed from a 2 hour worship set in the prayer room at IHOP. Matt Gilman had been meditating on Revelation 4 for awhile, started singing about it during the set, and the rest is history 🙂

Hope that helps, Sandy! Many blessings to you!
