Order Status Updates

I can’t tell you how often I get email requests asking for status updates on orders, and they’re always difficult to answer (which is why I ask folks to resist doing so on the FAQ page).

At the same time, I completely understand (and am grateful for) the passion the Dyed4you Community has about their orders!!!  I know how hard it can be to try to patiently await a word.  So I thought I’d take a moment to explain WHY it’s not so simple to give updates 🙂

If all I were doing was dyeing silk, the order status updates would be simple. After all it would be as easy as you order, I dye, and I ship.  Any status request would fall somewhere in that simple process and be quick to answer.

However, doing prophetic dyeing makes it not remotely simple!  I think the best way to help you understand why is to give examples of some things that have happened order-wise and I think you’ll begin to see for yourself 🙂

  • Sometimes I create a silk I believe is for person A only to have Father tell me at the end of the process it is for person B – so if I had told person A it was nearly done, I’d have been wrong because now I’m back at the beginning
  • Sometimes He has me dye a silk that has a new word being birthed and the silk will be dyed for weeks before the word is finished being downloaded – if I told the person once the silk was dyed that it was “almost ready” I would have been very wrong
  • Sometimes He’ll have me recreate a style silk I’ve done before, which seems simple enough since I know what it’s to look like and the word already exists, but when I go to package it He’ll tell me He wants an additional word to go with it and He births an addition to the word that only goes to that specific recipient, which takes time – if I’d told them it was about to go out, again I’d have been wrong

Those are just a few examples, but I think you get the idea!  Since I am not in control of the process, I can’t really give an accurate timetable.  I’m simply stewarding the process.

Really the only order status update I can accurately give is to say it is in progress and remind the purchaser that creation time is up to 4 weeks (or longer on quills, throws, special orders, and a couple other specialty items).  In truth, there’s been times He’s even broken the “deadline” (which I confess REALLY stretches me, but thus far His timing has always been perfect even in that!).

Hopefully that gives some clarity to the why I request that you resist asking.  It’s not that I don’t want to accommodate, it’s that I can’t tell you what I don’t know 🙂

All that said, if you have any questions – as always, feel free to ask!

  1. What a great way to explain the process!

  2. Well said !!!

  3. Amen! It’s not as simple as awaiting a shipment from a supplier. I have had people wait 4 and even 7 months for the release of a custom flag. It isn’t just me, it’s release and timing even tho I’ve often felt like I was procrastinating. One of my recipients even dreamed about them coming as He was speaking them and releasing them to me.
When you think of that 7 months, 4 weeks isn’t so bad. 🙂

  4. @Nickol – Lol yeah I think my longest was about 9 months. Someone had bought it as a gift and gratefully they were totally fine with awaiting Father’s timing, and it arrived right on time!

  5. very clearly stated.

  6. Excellent info and explanation. I confess, I did email to follow up on my first order, but after getting the explanation way back when, it made sense and I was fine with the wait.

One thing I have noticed, is that if I pray prior to ordering and while I am waiting, it makes it oh so much sweeter when my order does arrive. Prayer seeds sown into Meghan and Dyed4You reap great benefits in return.

  7. Oh I wish I was patiently waiting! On second thought, I guess I am but not on you! Either way the anticipation is always worth the wait.

  8. we love you megah an so greatful to have some one that wait on the word of Yahweh and the holy spirit be for you do any thing i no thats why he chose you for this we all have a parpes an a time an secon an you walked in to yours in faith an obedyans praise Yahweh love an prayer your way 🙂 sorry about the spelling lol

  9. You are such an amazing expample in … well, a lot of things. Paitence for each step of the process, commitment for prayer, dedication to stewardship, rest in our Father. again and again, thank you for what you do!

  10. Well said, dear one. And agreeing with Tonia’s statement about praying through the process! It does make it that much sweeter!!! 🙂

  11. Thank you so much for the explanation, it makes everything much clearer. I knew with so many places to order from that the Lord wanted me to order from you for a very good reason. Many blessings!!!!!!
