Flagging as a Prophetic Act

This is an awesome and powerful word that was shared with someone in the Dyed4you Community and I believe holds true for ALL of us who flag! So read, receive, and be blessed. 🙂

When I was in Hamilton Victoria in October 2014, I received a prophetic word from one of the worship team there, which said :

“When you’re waving the flags, the Kingdom of God comes on the earth. It’s a prophetic act. When God says DO something, we hear what he is telling us, we agree and we do something in the natural, like the old prophets (Ezekiel, Isaiah etc). When you wave the flags the angels are doing things in the spiritual and they are ushering the spiritual into the natural.  With flags we are doing something in the spiritual, bringing it into the natural. It’s like the Lord’s wings – under His protection too.   When you were waving the flags over peoples’ heads it was in the natural, but it was doing something in the spiritual to bring heaven to earth. Inviting the Kingdom to come onto the earth.

The old prophets DID something to act out and display what God was saying – i.e. eat this, do that, marry this person etc.  We agree with God and DO something which ushers in the angels to get heaven involved to bring that to earth i.e. Isaiah – the angel visited him.

We agree –  let it be done to me according to your will (Mary). We hear, and we agree and God brings it about.

We come into agreement. There is the doing of physical things to go with it and that’s what you are doing with the flags”.

To think that I was so ANTI flags, having been hit in the head with them several times. God has a sense of humour doesn’t He!   He chooses us, at this time, in this place, to give this revelation to, that flags are a spiritual warfare weapon. I am STILL amazed, and I give Him all praise and glory for what He is doing.

Below is a demo of a flag in the same style and flag type (only she had a pair) as what she has 🙂

  1. That was good. We have a girl that has come to our church with flags and has prophetically released things over us.
    It’s pretty cool !

  2. Five years ago my worship leader, Candy Kemp, said that for her flags were “stirring up the spirit”. I believed her, even though neither of us had used flags on a regular basis before that point. Now Flags are an integral part of my worship. I am also thankful to April Steffen for introducing me to dyed4you.

    1. Woohoo! Yes 🙂 Thank you April!!

  3. “flags are a spiritual warfare weapon” … I so love this. My church doesn’t use flags in worship, but I really sense the Lord asking me to flag during my private worship. I can’t wait until I am able to get one of your beauties. Every flag is so beautiful and filled with meaning. Blessings on your ministry!

  4. That is perfectly said! I could never describe it in such a way, all I know is that when I flag, I listen to see what God is saying & I do (flag) according to what He feels or how I see it in the spirit for Him to be worshipped. Prophetic, yes! It’s a whole different realm when you get to honor God in such a way & such a privilege.

  5. I just love that prophetic word. I have used my flags in so many ways before…acting out things that God says to do. God position us to be used in amazing ways.

  6. I so love what she said on so many levels and for so many reasons. There are times that I use my flags in warfare, worship, intercession and praise. But there are also times when it feels like my prayers are not going any farther than the top of my head, that I take my flags before Him and somehow what I cannot manage to say in the natural, I am able to express in the spiritual with my flags, if that makes any sense. In other words, as she so eloquently said ” doing something in the natural….to get heaven involved to bring that to earth.

  7. Yes, love it. Perfect way to describe it!

  8. That’s awesome! I think we as flag and banner people we have to take better responsibility to NOT hit people in the head and apologize when we do, but it is so cool to hear how God released His desire and intent for the flags through this person!

  9. I want to copy this word down and put it in the front of my flag binder, which holds all of the prophetic letters that came with each one. There are only 2 of us- myself and sometimes my sister that flag at our small church. I love this word and plan to use it to help me get past my head. There are those times when my heart says get up and worship with the flags but my head is telling me to sit down. I love the bold way Meghan dances with this flag in the video!! It is inspiring to watch and feel you be free in this worship! That helps to see her flagging so joyously, too. I knew something to happen in the spiritual when one flags; this word testifies to that! I was grateful to read the other people’s comments on this blog as well.

  10. I have had prophetic words released over me in regards to dance ministry when I was only dancing in the secret place. I now enjoy flagging and dancing publicly with childlike faith believing God can use it for His glory. I love your flags and have a scarf already. The prophetic word was spot on! Thank you for your ministry!

  11. Yes! I think flags and silks are so beautiful to watch. My church isn’t a flag type of church (yet!), we are just getting comfortable raising our hands in worship. I use my flags and scarf/veil at home, as a physical expression of my heart toward God. I also believe that it speaks, or translates in the spiritual world. I also use my scarf as a covering, like I’m surrounding myself with the prophetic word spoken over my scarf. Either God really wants me to feel it, or I really need that aspect in my life, so I proclaim it over me.

    I agree 100%.
