This is part 2 of April’s “why flag” post – it’s some New Testament verses 🙂
Why I continue to dance with flags before the Lord:
- John 3:14 The Lord was lifted up, therefore the Church must lift him up with flags, banners, our voice with a shout, clapping of hands.
- Luke 24:49-51 It brings the power from on high when we raise our hands and wait upon the Lord and it lifts us up to see heavenly places. It opens the eyes of our understanding.
- Acts 3:6-9 It is our sacrifice of praise before the Lord, We do this in His Name, it strengthens us and the whole body as we walk and leap and praise God. God’s wonders are shown in the Church.
- Jehovah Nissi – The Lord is my banner. In the midst of trials and troubles in our life, we can always count on Jehovah Nissi to be there to bring in the victory as we stand with our banner.
- Knowing that there is power in His Name, power in the symbolism as we worship, power in the color representations and power in the obedience to follow His Word.
Those things must be why I’m feeling more and more drawn to it. Another expression and another level. Thanks for sharing.
Oh I love it! It feels right and it gets my whole body involved too! Love these posts! I find when I have a flag or scarf, I become less self conscious about moving as I am not a dancer.
Yes!!!When we lift Him up His power comes down. He was high and lifted up and his train filled the temple…
@Donelda: I think the Lord is greatly awakening His worshippers to tools that aren’t necessarily new, but have laid dormant for a number of generations. Now, it just seems that the vessels He’s chosen & prepared to design, create, and birth these tools are starting to arise for these last days and God is breathing new life into the tools & those who will use them. He’s giving a new, fresh vision to us fir these last days & powerful tactics to wage war on the enemy & take back violently what the devils stolen from us. In war, armies raise up flags & banners, they step to the beat of a “drum”, they scream & shout….. It’s time for US to do this!!! Get your flags, your wings, your banners& streamers; billows, vois& pois!!! Get your tambourines, trumpets, and drums!! Lift your voice and shout with a voice of triumph!!
Needed this today!!!! I originally was drawn to flags but have been focusing more on dance–but I find that I try to be to “dignified” and “keep it all together” so to speak when dancing. I need to get exuberant and lift up the standard!!!
This morning this is what I read before these 2 parts of dancing with flags:
Allow no one to stop you from praising the Lord. Do it with exuberance. DIGNITY is not a fruit of the Spirit, but JOY is! (Gal 5,22) The joy of the Lord is our strength – not our weakness. “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.” God bless you. REINHARD BONNKE
Wow!! This is so powerful!! I’m still asking the Lord to show me the instrument I’m supposed to use as a worship tool but, the word “flag” has been in my mind for a few days now… :-O!! :-O!!
Day by day I am drawn more and more in the idea of dancing before the Lord. These weapons of beautiful silk and colors are made for warfare. Thank you Meghan for listening and obeying God the Father in making these tools.
