This is too fun not to share!
So a few days ago I’d asked Carol from the Scent of Heaven to prayerfully consider a “Royalty” anointing oil. I’ve had silks more than once that I’d wished I’d had something in that vein to anoint them with. As I described to her what I was thinking I said “think purple” – I didn’t mean literal color, just purple as in royalty.
Then last night I dreamed that Carol came to me with the new “Royalty” oil and was apologizing and concerned because the oil was blue not purple.
SIDE NOTE: If you knew Carol and I, you would know we have these conversations all the time! Since she works with natural oils you get interesting things that happen on a regular basis – things floating in the oil, oil changing shades – she’s always concerned that people won’t like that and I always tell her we (the customers) don’t mind because we LOVE the natural product! The things that happen are just part of what make them unique and worth treasuring, and that she shouldn’t be concerned at all. So again – the dream was feeling very natural because we’ve had similar conversations on many occasions.
In the dream I explained I hadn’t meant literally that it should be purple (purple often means royalty), but that in any case it was FINE that the oil was blue and that in fact I felt it was prophetic that it was.
Today I had the thought I should call and share the dream with Carol just in case. When I reached her, I told her I dreamed she’d made the “Royalty” oil and had come to me because she was concerned because it was blue. There was a pause and she asked if I’d talked to a mutual friend of ours, which I responded that I had not (Apparently the friend was as her home the previous day as she’d been working.)
Then she said, “I did make the oil and it IS blue and I was concerned because you’d talked about purple, but I can’t make it purple.” I literally laughed and shared the rest of the dream where she’d talked about it not being purple and explained I hadn’t meant that it literally be purple, I simply was thinking of purple as in royalty 🙂
We both paused to ponder how awesome our God is!!! What must He have in mind for this oil to want to confirm it so specifically?!
As I’ve pondered since we hung up, I can’t help but hear my pastor’s words echoing in my head as he talked recently about purple representing man’s royalty, but blue representing Divine Royalty. With that in mind I think it is in fact prophetic that the oil is blue. We are His children – no, not of earthly royalty, but far better.
I don’t know about you guys, but I am excited for the new oil. And I’ll keep plugging away on the new Scent of Heaven website so you can see it sooner rather than later 😉
That is Good Meghan, I can’t wait to see this oil and know what it smells like. I bet it is fantastic, as all of the Scent of Heaven Oils are. God is Awesome without a doubt! Praise Him in all His Majesty!

Yes! He is amazing! He constantly amazes me! I so appreciate it when He coordinates things and uses us to do it. It’s a sure indication that time and place was planned, and that you both were in step with that plan. Thank you for sharing this beautiful story. And yes, the Scent of Heaven Oils that we have come in contact with do not disappoint but have blessed both my daughter and me. Thank you, Jesus, for using Carol and Meghan to touch the Body of Christ with Your presence.

oh this made me well up inside… i LOVE when this stuff happens. i’d recently been criticized for labeling people ‘seer, discerner, dreamer’ … but the people with whom i fellowship are almost all of these things. when stuff like this happens, it’s nice to know i’m not crazy.
i get prophetic words for people from their clothing, the colour of jewelry and have a habit of giving flags away because a particular flag is -them-. THANK you for sharing!!!
