One of the fun things about quills is they are so light they can be layered! In this video I am using a pair of 45″ quill flags with a pair of 45″ round quill flags. It’s a fun effect. You can see points where I slip my finger in between the two so you can see there’s two flags and other points where I grip them together. It gives a very full appearance.

Those are really cool! Is it two pieces of silk?
How fun.
OMGOSH!
Yep, that about sums it up!
Georgeous!
I call this stacking. My favorite is the 45″ xl size in a purple and a 35″ petite in an orange. The contrast of colors in worship is fabulous! Glad you are figuring out all the tricks!
Very pretty and a very different visual effect; thank you for sharing with us Meghan! 🙂
That was so amazing.. Just Beautiful 🙂
WOAH! Really?! Did I really just see that amazingness? Yes, oh yes, I did. This is absolutely breathtaking. Words… oh, there are no words that truly describe what I just saw and felt there!
And Meghan – your wings GREW! 🙂 lol
@Allissa, I agree with you. It is breath taking!!!!
I think Allissa bout sums it up! 🙂
WOW!!!!! Awesome, beautiful, gorgeous, breathtaking, etc. etc.
Amen to Alissa! Your wings are growing! How much fun!
That IS a really full effect! I would have never thought of this…of course, I’m doing pretty well if I can master 1 pair at a time, much less 2 pair 😉 I know you say quills are so easy, but they still take a little bit of practice to get the feel for them; you make them look great with this “layered” effect.
i am looking forward to layering with quills… i’ll often layer using flags with dowell rods, but since i like huge flags, sometimes it gets cumbersome … nevermind that my early material choices were quite heavy compared to silkiesence or silk!
