How-To Anoint Silk

As you know, we anoint all our silks before they leave with oils from the Scent of Heaven, a sister ministry founded by a dear friend and spiritual mom. Many you have grown as attached to the oils as you have your silks and are saddened when the beautiful aroma of the oil has work off.

I know many have bought the Scent of Heaven oils specifically to enable being able to re-anoint your silks, and recently when I was asked if there was a trick to doing it I realized I better create a how-to video to help prevent y’all staining your silks!

BTW it’s dye stains on my arm, not bruises 😉  It’s an occupational hazard – LOL!

  4. YAY! You used faithful! Love it!

Thanks for the video. I was unsure how to do this myself. Great teaching.

“the hard waaaay” – love it – that is totally something I would do. And I would sing it just like that too.

  5. Thanks for sharing, this is great to know,

  6. Yes, thank you Meghan. I would have been one to pour the silk on the scarf and stain it.

  7. This is good to know…I will be buying more oil Scent of Heaven Warior…but could not find it…but wouldlike to buy some more…please contact me…thanks Linda

  8. @Linda, if you visit this link – http://thescentofheaven.com/order-anointing-oil/ – you’ll be able to order from Carol directly. Warrior is one of the “favored” anointing oils (it makes a difference in price, you’ll understand when you get there). Bless you!

  9. I anticipated the stain, so I anointed my scarf inconspicuously in the corners 🙂
Your method is a whole lot better!

  10. When’s the last time I told you how cute you are??? Thank you so much for the how-to, I’m pretty sure that you shared this method with me before, but I’m glad for the refresher. Now I need to go re-annoint mine!

  11. @Jessica – I confess I think I may just seem cuter because I get gushy when my hubby is on the other side of the camera instead of just having it on the table. I kinda like him. A lot. In case you hadn’t noticed 😉

  12. Jesus shines through you! I love your bubbly laugh. Thanks for the great information.

  13. Thanks so much for the detailed videos you post. Been researching a while and find yours are most helpful. God Bless you for sharing your gift!

  14. Meghan – thanks for this tip! I’ve stained a few flags by anointing them wrongly – wish I would have seen your video sooner! Fortunately, the stains are few as I placed them
in strategic areas. But your method is by far the BEST! (By the way, LOVE – LOVE – LOVE the Wedding Feast scent!

  15. That’s so cool that the Spirit showed me how to do it just that way, back when I was anointing some other scarfs. Thanks for the video!

  16. Thank you very much. I didn’t know that it’s so easy!
