Amanda E visited my area and so of course we had to enjoy some Dyed4you silks while she was here 🙂 In this series of video clips, she is worshiping with a semicircle with a wing seam added. It’s name is Gatekeeper. Continue reading Amanda with Gatekeeper Wing

My Hubby with a Voi
I know you guys are probably tired of voi by now, but at the moment I’m still somewhat obsessed with them 🙂 This is my hubby using one of the pair created for Caleb Brundidge – they’re called Emissary of Light. Continue reading My Hubby with a Voi
Birthed through Fire Streamer
So the woman (a Dyed4you friend) wielding her friend’s streamer in Spiritual Delivery knew after that day that she needed her own. God (with His sense of humor) did have it come out similarly to the one she’d used but He birthed a powerful new word for it. Continue reading Birthed through Fire Streamer

Single 55×108 Voi
Last in this series of my nephew David, this is a compilation of several short clips of him working with a single 55×108 (special order) voi. This is a BIG scarf 🙂
Three-Beat Weave
My Nephew with Voi Pair
Here’s my nephew David again showing his poi skills – this was the first time he’d ever used veiled poi and the chains are set for me not him, but he does an amazing job!
My Nephew with His Flag Poi
I made my nephew, David, a pair of special order silk charmeuse flag poi. He is very talented with them – it’s fun to watch – hope you enjoy 🙂 Continue reading My Nephew with His Flag Poi
Basic Moves for Dancing with Scarves
Per request, this is a 5-part series on the basics of dancing with scarves. Each clip compares 2 scarves for a total of 10 scarves in 4 different fabrics (5mm and 8mm China Silk, Crepe, and Chiffon) and 9 different sizes (21×21, 11×60, 11×60 fringed, 44″ triangle fringed, 22×72, 22×90, 35×84, 55×108, and the 45×108 semicircle). 35×84 Wing
This is a video demo of a 35×84 scarf with a wing seam added. Works great as a wing but is still light enough to dance with and wear 🙂
Framed Scarf
You’ve seen enough video of my living room (I included one below just in case) to know I have 3 Dyed4you banners hanging on my wall declaring: Beloved, Rivers from Heaven, and Touching His Glory.
But what you haven’t seen is my mantle which has a framed silk called Freedom Reigns. 🙂 Continue reading Framed Scarf
A Tip on Using Voi Pair
If you haven’t watched the single voi video, start there! The video below shares a simple move that can be used a number of different ways to get a nice effect when using a pair of voi.
Please understand I have not been using voi long and am particularly new at using a pair 🙂 I’ve discovered my body does not like doing syncopated rhythms (which gives me problems in piano too!), but you can still make voi pretty without them as hopefully this video demonstrates! Continue reading A Tip on Using Voi Pair
Basics of Using Voi
Below is a video of a few basics of working with voi (veiled poi). Here I’m using a single voi (in the standard 35×84 size).
Please understand, I am NOT a voi expert! I’ve been using these only for a few months – so this can get you started, but for more advanced moves you’ll have to go elsewhere or ask Holy Spirit (the teacher of all things) to show you! 🙂 Continue reading Basics of Using Voi
Working with a Big Wing
The video below gives some basics on how to work with a full-sized Dyed4you wing. Here I’m using a 45×108 semicircle in 8mm china silk with a wing seam added. It uses a 48″ dowel, which can be purchased from someplace like Home Depot. Continue reading Working with a Big Wing
Basics of Using a Wing
The video below gives some basics on how to work with a Dyed4you wing – just some simple moves that create a beautiful effect! Here I’m using a custom-sized 5mm china silk wing, which uses a 36″ dowel (which can be ordered by getting a semicircle of either weight and adding an altered wing seam). Continue reading Basics of Using a Wing
The Basics of Using a Big, Lightweight Flag
Below you’ll find some video that gives you the basics on using one of our 5mm China Silk flags. The one I use here is a 45×108 (with the flag seam added). In the video I reference the post on how-to put the flag on the pole, which you can find here. Continue reading The Basics of Using a Big, Lightweight Flag
Altered Wing
For a while now people have been asking for a smaller wing than my standard 45×108 semicircle wing, but I haven’t been able to create ones that are a quality I’d be comfortable selling. Continue reading Altered Wing
Caleb & Worship
We were blessed enough to have Caleb Brundidge visit our church (with Cindy McGill) to do some outreach training and minister with us.
This series of videos includes Caleb sharing on worship followed by him ministering with some flags… they’re not Dyed4you flags, but he’s so gifted I couldn’t resist sharing! But you will notice a “man scarf” I gave him tied to his belt loop in the back 🙂 Continue reading Caleb & Worship
More Fire Flag Poi
Inspired by the first set of flag poi, I set out to make my nephew (who is great with poi) a pair of flag poi. Unlike the first set (which were made of 5mm china silk), these are a heavy charmeuse (satin silk). They’re beautiful and he is WAAAAAAAAY more skilled at working these than me. See the video below. Continue reading More Fire Flag Poi
