Rivers of Peace

I was at a gathering at a friend’s home one evening when I was first introduced to the woman who received Rivers of Peace. We had several mutual friends – all of whom are big fans of Dyed4you. We talked scarves for quite a while, so I wasn’t surprised when after the party she sent in an order. With it was a note saying she was tempted to tell me her favorite colors, but wanted to see what God would give me for her so she was resisting the temptation!

I prayed and then created what God gave me and then documented the word He gave me to go with it:

The name of your scarf is Rivers of Peace. The colors in your scarf are:

  • Cayman island green representing praise
  • Green representing hope
  • Electric blue representing a release
  • Turquoise representing life-giving flow of the Holy Spirit
  • White representing peace
  • Teal representing increase
  • Pearl shimmer representing angelic presence

The verse with your scarf is Isaiah 66:12 “For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream…”

Your scarf has been prayed over and anointed with the Scent of Heaven’s Everlasting Joy, which is used as a reminder your joy is not dependent on your circumstances, it is a gift from God. Here’s a little more about this oil:

The joy of the Lord is our strength. It is important that we keep our joy at all times. Joy is not the same thing as happiness. Happiness is dependent on circumstances, whereas joy is something that flows from your heart as a result of the love the Lord has poured in.

I pray this blesses you!

I packaged up the scarf and dropped it in the mail and then I emailed her to let her know it was on its way and to ask what she’d been “hoping” for. She replied that her favorite color was green. I smiled to myself knowing it at least had some of her favorite color and then waited to hear her response when the scarf arrived… and her response was wonderful!

I received the scarf! It is beautiful. The colors are perfect. I mentioned green is my favorite color. What I didn’t mention was that the ocean is one of my favorite places. This scarf reminds me of the beautiful colors of the gulf coast.

When I see the green representing hope, I have tears in my eyes. This has been a very tumultuous year for us and it has been very hard to have hope much less joy. I was sitting on the couch feeling quite low and the Lord reminded me of a prophecy spoken over me years ago. The Lord said that I was as a little girl and I was standing next to a beautiful Christmas tree, the tree had presents under it and as I looked, I could see presents with my name on them. The Lord told me as I was sitting on the couch, “it’s time for you to open a gift.” I could see in the spirit the package and as it opened, I heard the Lord say, “I am giving you hope.”

The scarf you made and sent is a confirmation from the Lord for me to remember, I have hope. Thank you, dear one, for your ministry. The scarf not only looks lovely but smells wonderful.

As always, God is faithful 🙂

  1. Just what I needed to see tonight! I had my laptop go down this morning. I received it a year ago and couldn’t get it connected to the internet till a week and a half ago. It is such a huge help when there are three of us trying to use the desktop computer (we rarely watch TV, so it’s our entertainment). This week has been a week of challenges and my hope was on it’s last thread! I just finished listening to a prayer gaithering webcast – themed “receiving rest” and this story just put the finishing touch on me! lol I feel so much better. The colors on this scarf are so “relaxing” too. I just felt the tension of the day release from me just reading the story. As for my laptop, I will trust that He’ll have new mercies for me tomorrow.

  2. Praise God! So glad it blessed you 🙂 I just had the random thought to post a link from one of the older ones… so many great stories! God is good 🙂

  3. Aww…i love the christmas tree vision…i envisioned it while i read this…its cute!

  4. I love the vision of the Christmas tree. God is so amazing. We are all blessed that we always have HOPE. I just picked up a beautiful cut out that spelled HOPE yesterday. I love the way the Lord speakes to us. One time when I was at a womens conference and during worship Gods prensence was very heavy. I had my right hand in the air worshiping him and he placed something in it. I asked him what it was and he said “I have givin you strength”,I just weeping. I am weak with out him, but I am strong when i have him. Thank you again for sharing your story, we all need HOPE, we all need our Heavenly Father. We love you Papa!!

  5. Wow that was a beautiful story…thanks for sharing. I just found this site yesteday…reading all the story is truely a blessing. Jehovah God is the master of gifts among other things. I love this site…I am blessed…thank you!

  6. As always, incredibly awed by how the God of the universe reaches down and touches our hearts just where we are at. Blessed.

  7. How fun to hear how you both met! It really does look like the ocean. It’s just beautiful! Her testimony is so lovely and I can relate to not wanting to say what colors you’re secretly hoping for, lol 😉 But God ALWAYS knows what to give and why which is awesome. I can also understand when she says it reminds her she has hope. One of mine always reminds me of the peace He’s given me to weather through some things right now. It’s amazing how He can touch each of us so profoundly through something so simple and beautiful.
